Starting in 1862 and lasting until the French Revolution in 1789, The Palace of Versailles was the principal royal residence in France.
The Palace is located twelve miles southwest of Paris in the department of Yvelines in the region of Ile-de-France.
We have had the opportunity to visit the Palace three times... twice included interior visits, and once, only the exterior and gardens.
